3ds max :  introductory-level

3ds max 7 is the industry-standard modelling, animating and rendering package - widely used in design visualization, game development, broadcast and film. This four-day course provides a thorough introduction to the core functionality of the software.

The course can be held
on-site or in-house using the facilities of the HIVE (Hull Immersive Visualization Environment) in the Computer Science Department at the University of Hull.

This internationally leading visualization centre features an immersive visualization auditorium with a stereoscopic immersive workwall, a motion-capture studio, various laser scanners, and a visualization laboratory with a suite of powerful PC graphics workstations and a high performance computing cluster. This course represents a unique opportunity to make use of these world-class facilities.

Offsite or on, this introductory unit delivered by Mark Faulkner of zabanda media is designed to offer the fastest route into 3ds max.

 

Suitability

The course is designed as a general introduction for professionals in a wide range of industries: architecture, construction, engineering, design, marketing & publicity, heritage.

No experience of 3ds max is required, although familiarity with MS windows-based applications is necessary. The course is also suitable for those who wish to refresh their knowledge.
